The purpose of Student Government is threefold:
A. To represent the Franciscan University student body to the administration and faculty, and to the public.
B. To communicate the concerns, interests, and ideas of the student body to the University administration, and to participate with the administration and faculty in the formulation of policies affecting the student body.
C. To govern, promote, and finance student clubs, and to collaborate with campus departments and other student organizations in the promotion of student services and activities.

How we are going to accomplish each:
Represent
Our team is comprised of a variety of FUS students, with diverse interests and voices. Utilizing each member of this team, we will be able to more effectively represent the unique interests from across the student body, ensuring that not only one group’s needs are met.
Communicate
We are dedicated to retaining, and expanding Student Government transparency and accessibility. Through the use of social media and an enhanced bulletin, we aim to make the actions of Student Government clear, and easy to find. We are committed to tabling and promoting an environment where student feedback is frequently heard, well-recorded, and valued.
Collaborate
It is our job as Student Government to serve the campus. We will accomplish this by sponsoring events hosted by clubs, households, and athletics. Additionally, we plan on lobbying for student voices with Parkhurst, ResLife, and the University Administration.
